You’ve seen the documentaries and know the photography. Now, travel back in time through the lens of exploration during a National Geographic film experience you won’t find anywhere else.
Wild River
In this week’s screening, you’ll meet Frank and John Craighead, pioneering American naturalists who were instrumental figures in the fight to protect America’s free-flowing rivers. This documentary special from 1970 explores the scenic beauty and ecological importance of rivers. You’ll learn about the trailblazing work of the Craighead family, including one of their proudest achievements: passing the landmark Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968.
